What is Yoga?

Yoga is designed to enhance vitality and well-being. It helps flexibility, balance, strength and posture. Using relaxation techniques, poses, stretches and breathing exercises to enable you to feel revitalised. 

Yoga increases body awareness, by practicing Yoga poses and Yoga postures this means that you will be able to tell when you are slouching and adjust posture. It lowers your resting heart rate and increases overall endurance. This is a great way to improve the amount of oxygen taken in during daily exercises. 

Yoga classes are typically 50-60 minutes depending on the timetable.

Most people attend up to twice a week to gain most benefits, but it is completely up to you! Although you can easily find specialised yoga clothes, there really is no dress code for Yoga, just wear something that you are comfortable in.
